Second thing, buying a good ultrasonic record cleaner. Third, zero-stat. Fourth, Stylast or other good stylus cleaner.
The only way my first move would be to buy a new LP is if the Reference Recording 45 rpm 2-LP set of Doug MacLeod Exactly Like This is not in your stash. If that is the case then please whatever you do drop everything and track it down. Music Direct, Acoustic Sounds and all the usual suspects are already back-ordered, with no telling when they will press more. You might find one on Discogs.com but whatever you do just make sure you find one. If you haven't heard it go look for Serious Doin Woman on YouTube.
