Burt Reynolds has passed away

Sorry, I know this really isn't audio related, but I really liked Burt.

R.I.P. Burt, thanks for all the great movies!

Nothing like a purist to raise his head. We audiophiles have other interests and when we have the passing of someone who had an impact on us, even in a non-audiophile way, it's of no harm to comment on it.

Loosen up a bit.

All the best,

Here’s a list of some of the roles he turned down:
James Bond
Michael Corleone in The Godfather
Han Solo in Star Wars
Richard Gere’s role in Pretty Woman
Jack Nicholson’s role in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
& Terms of Endearment

Bruce Willis’ role in Die Hard
to name some.

Others were reported to be Taxi Driver, Rocky, Rosemary’s Baby, and M.A.S.H. The one he regretted the most was James Bond. He felt it wasn’t proper for an American to do the role and later regretted it.

All the best,

I just saw this as well. They say he was the highest paid actor from '78-'82 and in one year he had four movies screening nationwide. I always enjoyed his movies.

All the best,
