Bryston 3B-ST and tubes4hifi SP11 Pairing

Hi, I have an SP11 preamp and am trying to find a power amp to match it. Right now I have a pair of JBL L26s. I am thinking of purchasing Magnepan down the road but not sure which model so am trying to keep my options open. I'm willing to spend about 1k on a power amp, and I've heard many good things about the Bryston 3B-ST. Any thoughts on this pairing or other amp suggestions?

I purchased both a 3BST and 3BSST around the same time. I could hear very little difference between them so I kept the cheaper 3BST and resold the SST.

That said, there's a 3BSST for sale locally at $1095 CAD. (I have no association with the seller and have no idea if they'll ship.)

I had both the ST and SST series in my system, and in my opinion the SST is more refined and worth paying more for.  FWIW.


I've only found SST for double the price of this one. Do you have any other recommendations for comparable power amps around this. I should mention $1000 CAD.

I don't know much about Bryston 3B-ST either so any feedback on it is appreciated
