If you don't want to go through the break-in, take the receptacle and exchange it with the receptacle that your refrigerator or chest freezer runs on.

Run the freezer or fridge into each half of the receptacle for about 2 weeks (one month in total) and then slot it back into your system.

You'll be shocked at how different things sound after doing that. And it still may take 3-4 days to really settle down and get to 100% in your system following that.

Furutech cryogenically treats everything. The break in is an ugly process.
Fridge or freezer will do much more and much more quickly. It's not the consistent running but rather the initial surges when the compressors kick in that really get the job done. A very good way of really burning in power cables (short of using a cable cooker); even those that have been in a system for years, particularly on low current devices like preamps and CD players, will benefit from this.

The Christmas tree is really not doing much. Just trying to help.
