bose 901 and i pod

so I purchased the Yamaha  as301 and the Audio engine b1 . They both worked well except for the Bose Equalizer which I am not getting any response from. .Music is flat .the slides on equalizer do not make any difference either way..

Cables are hooked up according to bose tape out to tape in . changing them makes no difference.

Any suggestions.

I actually used this forum for a recommendation of what  i needed to make this happen and i purchased this unit to accomplish the integration. . I was able to hear them with out the equalizer and was definitely not happy with the sound. So I returned the amp and B1 unit and going a different route.Got some advice that was not necessarily the best.

'Thanks for your help

Yamaha A-S series has neither pre out/main in jacks nor a tape monitor loop. So you won’t be able to use the equalizer with this amp. Links below to the similar A-S801:

I would sell your Bose and look for some speakers that don’t require an equalizer unless you want to get a tech to add the pre out/main in jacks (an expensive mod no doubt)

It’s possible the EQ needs servicing. It’s somewhat common and there are a couple of places around the US that can service/ rebuild them.
