YES !!!  It has made the app almost unusable.   I just posted on another thread about this issue.

I contacted customer support via their email and unfortunately I received a worthless response.    They say they do not have an immediate solution, but has passed the info to product dev and QA for review and consideration in a future update. Sorry, we were unable to provide direct assistance at this time.

THIS IS THE LAZIEST POSSIBLE RESPONSE.

I have done a factory reset, which unfortunately auto updates to the latest defective software version.  I deleted and reloaded the app on my ipad.  Just to be clear, I have only tried to stream Amazon Music HD.  It is very slow when you select an artist and often greys out.  Then when I finally get the album and select a song, it often does the same thing again.  Sometimes the song will play, but often it takes multiple tries to get it to work.  I have not tried anything else since I seldom listen to Radio Paradise or have my own curated lists.  Does anyone have experience with the new WiiM Pro or any other reasonably priced streamer.  I am now primarily concerned about buggy user software (or maybe its actually the OS)?  Funnily, I run a fairly big Sonos set up too and even with their negative publicity about the new app, I find it is so much better than the current state junk app from Bluesound.   As consumers, we need to make sure this junk update gets attention and forces them to rollback or fix whatever junk they put out there.  So please everyone with issues, send them emails.  Just very annoyed with them and especially after the tech support response.

Following the comment on Amazon music creating the problem, I found this posted today on Steve Hoffman's board:

Exactly, I finally go Bluesound Tech this morning for same reasons of having (3) Nodes not working with Amazon Music. They have given me several options to remedy, but none work. Finally they admit, the following: "Amazon; specifically, the Amazon Web Services (AWS) server from which your Bluesound players pull data is experiencing an outage. We are in touch with our contacts at Amazon; Amazon hopes to have the issue resolved soon."
Really a bummer, I am having a wedding party at my house in a few days and need to stream my music. I was told to reload the Bluesound App after the fix from Amazon. Personally, this has been going on for a couple of weeks and now does not work at all! Ready for a new streamer.

I have ordered a WiiM Ultra.  Will let everyone know if Amazon has an issue with WiiM once I get it hooked up.

Update:  I hooked up the WiiM Ultra, streaming from Amazon.   It appears to be working "OK" although the lag time when you select a different track is much longer than the way Bluesound used to work.  I noticed a couple of times the song had to be pressed a couple of times before it would play.  The album cover shows up on the device before the song plays.  I was jumping around quite a bit changing songs to try "break" it  to see if it greys out etc but that has not happened (yet).    This is a very prelim assessment since the WiiM just arrived but it is functional with Amazon.  I have only used headphones to test it so no comment on sound quality although the sound through inexpensive headphones sounds quite decent.  So .... either the Bluesound implementation of Amazon is broken or BlueOS v 4 and its app are junk.  The WiiM unit appearance is nice, but the box feels plasticy.  For  $327 don't expect much more.

Further update WiiM Ultra.  I have continued to try break it.  Frustratingly, I searched for all Paul McCartney albums and it returned just 4.  Looking at Amazon Music on my PC, there are dozens.   I tried Paul McCartney and Wings and it returned No Results.  It looks like the WiiM implementation of Amazon is also lousy.  It would be nice if Amazon would build an Amazon Connect to get around these streamer issues.  So I am wondering if it is simply too difficult to use Amazon.  May be worth looking at Tidal Connect.

Using the Amazon app on an iphone or PC or through Carplay, it works perfectly well.  The problem clearly lies in the API/integration with BluOS.  Unknown is if it is software engineering at Amazon or Bluesound.  I may just try Tidal free for a month and see how it does and if Amazon/Blue figure it out by then.

I just signed up for 2 months of Tidal ($2 special).  No issues with the Node or WiiM.  I am noticing a difference in the sound between these streamers into a DAC.  Should there be a difference?  The Node 2i sounds "fuller" and more musical.  The WiiM sounds more lean.  I disabled the EQ in the WiiM app.  I was under the impression that the digital signal would be the same.
