Sad news. The old guard is leaving us fast. What a great songwriter and performer. I’m glad he achieved a little popularity so that we have recordings of his work with Eddie and solo to listen to and watch.

Sad for me to see, this great songwriter and performer has died.
I saw him with his son as Shaver in SoHo London long ago, and a few years back as a solo with a band in Sellersville PA. He was fantastic each time, and was to return to Sellersville, I have a ticket, but that was cancelled.
For those who know him and his recordings, or those who only are familiar with the many covers of his wonderful songs, this marks a sad passing.
