Biamping with a pair of 2 ch amps....

I would like to try biamping my Vandy 2C's...I have a pair of identical NAD 2200s to work with...the vandies are biamp capable by removing the external jumpers...seems I have two possibilities for hook-up: 1)use one amp per speaker or 2)use one amp for L/R lows and one for L/R highs...my thought is option 2 is preferrable as it gives the left and right channel of each amp approximately equal duties...what does conventional wisdom say???

When I tried biamping for the first time, I wanted to use Vertical. But, after I switched to experiment with horizontal biapming, I never went back. I had zero separation with vertical biamping, and all the separation I wanted with horizontal.

I'm surprised that no one has brought up the idea of an active crossover yet.
