You'll hear arguments both ways. I've heard people say that balanced interconnects can be used in longer lengths than single ended with less sonic degredation. I've also seen discussion of the "not less than 8 feet" conjecture for speaker cables. There's lot's of information, opinion and discussion regarding this topic in the archives. biamping.. better long ICs or Speaker Cables?
Question-
when bi-amping.. is it better to use long ICs or Speaker Cables?
My inclination is that the Speaker cable guys are in the business of long cables while the IC guys are not. And that one would not want to amplify corrupted IC signals.
But how long is 'too long' for ICs?
Any thoughts?
