Bi-amped system

I’ve received help here on audiogon, so I want to pitch a question. First my system:  (2) HK citation 2’s (mostly rebuilt) both wired in triode mode, one for mids and tweet and the other for bass. Audio physics original virgos, with (2) 6” woofers, crossover at 350hz. I’m happy with this system, sounds good but as a dedicated audiophile I’m always looking to change something 🤷‍♂️

using golden dragon kt 88’s… but wondering if there is another tube out there with more emphasis on bass and another with more emphasis on midrange for each amp? Without spending a fortune or using a subwoofer… what’s your opinion or experience?

I remember those speakers. I liked them.

If you want more midrange bloom I would look at your preamp and source. Although, someone can maybe recommend some warmer tubes.

We can probably help more if you show your system under your UserID. It is quite possible there are other ways to enhance the midrange. A sub-woofer will not help.
