BEST STANDS FOR B&W 801

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE BEST STAND TO GET?

I made a pair of stands for a friends 802's that worked brilliantly. Get a 2 pieces of 1/2" or thicker steel plate flame or plasma-cut at a local steelworks, ask to have them plough-ground to make them flat and the edges ground smooth. Drill and thread at each corner to accept spikes. This raises the speaker about 1" and improves the sound about 1 mile !! Total cost should be about £50-00.Let me know how you get on. P.S. If you give the steelworks a cardboard template they can cut to match the speaker shape.
