Will - In your price range, I would suggest a home trial of Ohm Walsh 2000 or 3000 (depending on the volume of your room). You get 120 days to use them in your home with your gear and tunes. I have owned the Walsh 2000s for about two years now, and I remain extremely impressed by their performance, which has improved steadily as I have improved my electronics, cables, and room treatments.
