Best sounding FM table radio ever made...

I am looking to pick up a great FM table radio.  Mono or stereo.  Sound quality is of prime importance and it need not be a current model.  I have had great tube console radios from mid-century, but this time I am looking for the best sounding table radio ever.

Given the lack of local radio stations worth listening to, I would most likely choose this Ruark Audio R2 MK 4.

anyone listen to a cue radio with outboard speaker, very warm and clear sound went out of production. also boston acoustics made a little table radio that looked cheap and plasticy but was solid and well made, great neautral to warm sound and exceptional reception. i miss those radios.

If the stations you want to hear stream, a blutooth boom box will sound better than any table radio available now. I still have a tuner but my GE Super Radio is always at hand.

My Parents had a KHL AM & FM

kept it on local AM Station WLW 50000 watt station

I recently found out that WLW meant World’s Largest Watts.

At night it would broadcast 100000 watts

Transmitter located at Voice Of America

north of Cincinnati.
