The CEC TL51X has served me quite well. As has the North Star 192 previous to the CEC. Both have AES/EBU connections and are within your budget.
Best replacement for Pierre Lurné Kreatura
Hello, i have a Pierre Lurné transport in for repair , recalibrations, etc, and i'm wondering what could be the best replacement for it. Knowing it's not gonna last another 10 years. I have a Audio Research DAC3 mk2 in AES-EBU connection, i like to keep the same connection or use AT&T ST fiber .
I like a CD transport with front drawer.
What about CEC TL51X ?
EMM labs looks interesting.
Theta transports are also interesting.
