BEST POWER CORDS FOR NUFORCE REFERENCE 9S

We have done relatively extensive testing swapping power cords and conditioners and each time we go back to the stock cord and standard wall outlet. It's hard to be certain until you have had the opportunity to a/b them but, fwiw, we helped NuForce to run their room @ CES and after many hours of a/b'ing the night before the show we came back to the stock stuff for our demo room.

L A T International AC-2 work better than the stock cords on my system. As long as you dont plug them into a limiting voltage power conditoner. These amps are too fast for some conditoners. Definetely try it both ways! Plugged into my panamax the sound was dark.

I want to lift this thread a little. Is there anyone else having tried different cords on the ref. 9s.

The best power cord that we have found on the Ref 9's so far has been the Synergistic Research Active AC Master couplers, which made a huge improvement in soundstage, imaging, and bass response over the stock power cords. NONE of low cost cables ( Diamondback, Viper, JPS GPA, S/R Classic AC, etc) we tried were any better than the stock power cords on these wonderful amplifiers. Hope this helps....

I am using a ZU Bok with my Nuforce IA-7. The PC lowered the noise floor, and tightened up the bass. Sounds great, and isn't too pricey.

I am using Cardas Golden Cross with my Ref 9 SE's and I am very pleased. I had Acoustic Zen El Nino's before the Cardas and everything "improved" with the Cardas.
