Excelsis, a dark noel and Excelsis a winter's song vol.2 a compilation of gothic and darkwave bands on the Projekt label. Merry Chistmas to all and to all a Good Year! PAX
I'm Gettin' Nothin' for Christmas - by The Reducers (New Briton, CT).

Merry Axeman has Steve Vai, Jeff Beck, Eirc Johnson, Brian Setzer, etc. Great CD.
Venom: "Black Christmas" -only one song, but I play it every year on Christmas Eve to celebrate the season!

also, there's a great Xmas collection from Esquivel (50's lounge orchestra hero) if you're a fan of "zoo-zoo" lyrics and early synths like the annoyovox and the irritatophone.
I like "A SWINGERHEAD CHRISTMAS" CD.

Happy Holiday's!!! HO! HO! HO!
My two favorite remain John Prine and Leon Redbone. After you hear Redbone do White Christmas, Bing sounds hyper. His rendition of Christmas Island is great too. Prine not only sings, but tells great stories.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra (trans-siberian.com) Maybe not underground, but definently a twist on the norm.
Not exactly underground but at this point certainly off the beaten path if only because it's out of print....
Jon Anderson (of YES, not the country singer)
"3 Ships" 1985, out of print but can be found if you look.

Merry X-mas to all
