Never been good at rating music as my opinion changes too frequently. However, I have some recordings that I have loved from this past year, and play all the time:

Thought that Strange Liberation (great disc) was a big improvement over Freak In. Haven't heard any of your other picks, but hope to fix that problem soon.

I know you have class my man, as you put Von Freeman, "The Great Divide" on your list. Based on that, I may have to pick up your first 4 choices.

I really enjoy Ramsey Lewis Trio - Time Flies.

Drhst20- if you trust JFZ, you should also pick up "Life of a Song, Geri Allen," it's the best sounding DSD recording I've heard, and should be wonderful on your EMM Labs gear.

Roy Haynes' "Fountain of Youth" Bill Charlap's "Somewhere" and "OH!" featuring John Schofield, Joe Lovano, Dave Holland, and Al Foster. These have been in heavy rotation for the last year!

Gotta add one more: Denny Zeitlin Trio "Slickrock." If you've never heard of DZ, check it out! Bet you'll like it!
