Have you'se folks seen Bregman's "Autumn Sonata"? There is a scene where Ingrid's character bullies her grown-up daughter into limping through the Chopin prelude #2. Then mom mops the floor with her, showing her how it ought be done. It is delicate savage. Bergman (he, not she) brings out the anguish of Chopin out of his music and into the movie. (The real pianist is his wife)
