Benz Retip Update
I posted a few months back asking for retipper recommendations for my Benz Ebony L.
I finally got around to sending it out to Soundsmith in NY after it was clear the stylus was worn. I used Soundsmith based on the recommendations and because they did a canti/stylus replacement on my GAS Sleeping Beauty a couple of years ago which I only recently started using again, enjoying the results. I delivered that cart in person to their facility so they're somewhat local to my residence.
I only did a retip on the Ebony L, keeping the boron canti. The wait was a bit over 6 weeks and the results have been excellent. Only have about 50 hours on it but pleased with the sound.
Having now had two carts worked on with excellent results I recommend considering them both for canti and stylus work.
