BAC were importers and rebranded other manufacturers tubes. Consequently, it's difficult to say how good they are. However perhaps the designer picked these as a known best quantity from a NOS stock. The EF86 is very cheap and available. Why not roll in some other makes for comparison?
Bentley Acoustic Corporation EC86 Tubes?
I recently purchased, but have not yet received, an Acoustic Plan Digimaster DAC which has four EC86 tubes imprinted with the name "Bentley Acoustic Corporation". Can anyone tell me about these tubes - sound quality as compared with other EC86 tubes, value, availability, manufacturer, other properties that would make these unique, etc???
