Belles Gr8 passive pre-amp?

The fine fellow from whom I purchased my Creek OBH-12se replaced it with the Belles. Tragically, the Belles disappointed him - he wanted his Creek back (and having had it in my system at that point, he wasn't getting it back from me - I love it!). Anyway, iirc, he was replacing the Belles with a Placette. As for the Creek - well, for a whole lot more money, you can match it, but I can think of better ways to spend your money. The Creek is a keeper.

Craig, during discussions with a fellow Belles 150A Hot Rod owner, he told me that he also owned the Belles preamp. He felt that the pre was not up to the level of refinement and value that the 150A represented. Nothing overtly wrong, just rather bland.

Thanks for the input. I think I will go with the creek.
