Beatles Re-issues on vinyl

When the Beatles re-issues CD's came out last year there was a lot of talk about the vinyl versions to follow. Has anyone heard any more about a time table for that?

The original rainbow label recordings are very nice and don't demonstrate the compression on some of the MOFI albums.

Beatles 65, Rubber Soul, and Revolver are wonderful. Actually Revolver may be the best Capitol rainbow release from a purely sonic standpoint.

The first Beatles album on Apple, aka "The White Album" is also killer.
I love the way they sound, especially vs the standard stereo US Capitol records that are widely available.

The Japanese (oh those mono's are nice) and UK pressings are spectacular, but they are extremely expensive and rare now.

I really do hope that if they do get the new pressings, they will be better than what has come before.

Any more word on this? I just got my hands on a MOFI box and I am wondering if the new vinyl would be as good, or hopefully better<<

Hopefully better is an understatement IMO.

The MOFI Beatles stuff is very ordinary and a few of them are actually crummy.

If you want sonics, seek out the original Parlaphone, Capitol, or Apple releases.

If you want to fill the trophy case, buy the MOFI recordings.

I purchased all of the MOFI recordings on release and after listening to them side by side with the original US/UK versions seldom play them.

But they sure are pretty.

It is currently being worked on. They do not want to rush the release if it is not all AOK Not really sure if they will use the remastered digital files (I hope not)to cut the master disks. Needs to be ananlogue all the way.
