Barbara Strieisand "Live at the Bon Soir" 1962

Currently streaming this on Qobuz in 96/24 bit and it is a stunning recording and concert. Barbara is incredible and her jazz instincts and abilities are quite impressive-and her quartet band swings big time too.

So many glorious renditions she pulls off with such ease and perfection. " Lover, Come Back to Me" is a revelatory example of this. Her take on " Happy Days are Here Again" is really a superlative and almost melancholy rendition that is quite moving-an almost a perfect song for the moment.

I do hope this one gets a audiophile vinyl and maybe even a SACD release.

I punch in Barbara Strieisand on Qobuz and nothing comes up. I've had more trouble finding things there. God forbid if you misspell something you'll never find it.

Babs earliest recordings is a reminder that she had a voice that maybe is in the league of the greats during the 50-60's.

My parents were HUGE fans during here peak years. I'm not a fan, but she can sing any American Songbook tune as good as the others.
