Yes, you can do that. It can produce issues with mismatched volumes but in most cases that would be minor after correction software.
bad to mix amps?
Im building a home theatre and want to know if "mixing" power amps is wrong..bad...or really doesn't make a difference? For example having an Anthem 3 channel power amp for the fronts and center..and a martantz 2-channel for the surrounds and rear surrounds. The reason is the power rating difference between the fronts/center and the surrounds? Thanks for any advice
