Well the CDM7NT's might only be a couple years newer. I got my CDM1NT's in 2000, so they're already almost 20 years old, and the 7NT's were out at that time as well.
THE CDM NT series was very well regarded at the time, and I still enjoy my 1NT's for H/T front stage duty. Can't offer comparison to 804 Matrix 1 unfortunately, as they were out of my rent district at the time, haha.
