B&W 802D problem

The tweeter in my 802D speaker has quit working. Can anyone tell me what the procedure is to diagnose the tweeter, or whether there is something else at fault? The tweeter itself is very expensive, and would like to isolate it before I buy a replacement. My dealer is 300 miles away, so I'd like to do whatever I can myself first. Thanks!!!

I doubt it. OTOH, there is a parts website for B&W where you can look for the part and buy direct.

The tweeter shows an open on the ohmmeter. I'm not sure why it blew, I don't listen super loud. I'm running 500W from Wyred4sound amp.

$1147 list price for a replacement tweeter. Ouch!!!

Try calling B&W service, I believe, in Boston. Had an issue at one point with a tweeter,,,they agreed to replace sans fee.
