B&K Reference 4430 3-channel

Has anyone experienced any problems(low distortion/low power)from their 4430? A friend let me demo his before I buy it and I had problems with the l/r channels cutting in and out and having some annoying low distortion and it seems underpowered. Any simple solutions to problems?
Thanks,
Bill

Thanks for your response. I didn't check for responses earlier because I forgot what forum I asked for advice
on. I took it to a local repair shop and he opened it up
and resoddered some circuits and cleaned oxidation where neaded and now it works like a charm.
Thanks,
Bill
B&K is good about fixing thier product - pay according to getting the amp fixed...
check all of the fuses. You'll need to open it up and find the fuses that are installed on the driver board. I've had this issue with one of my B&K amps and it turned out I had a blown fuse on the driver board.

in the process, you may want to go to B&K's website and download their fuse spec sheet (I think it's in their FAQ section), and make sure all of the fuses are properly installed (ie noone replaced them with off-spec fuses)
