B&K AVR 307 receiver + B&K Ref 200.7 Amp

I have the B&K AVR 307 receiver which is 150x7 watt/channel
and was considering using the B&K Ref 200.7 amp with it. Thus the receiver would then just become my processor. Will I notice an improvement in sound or am I just stepping sideways and not going forward. I would like a neutral amp which is more laid back and not so forward.
Eventually I will get a new processor and combine with whatever amp I have.

Thanks

I own the AVR307, and unless your speakers are VERY, VERY power hungry, I do not think it will make enough difference. What did make HUGE differences though, was when I made my own power cables, interconnects, and speaker cables !!! Why, I do not know, but the B&K just LOVES the correct wires, with the power cable being a HUGE improvement ! I tried 4 different ones until I found the "perfect one" , but it was well worth it! Most listeners would call the B&K slightly warm, or neutral. Mating it with ultra revealing cables ( not bright, just revealing ) will bring out the very best in the B&K !
The sound quality is there all along with the B&K, but it's picky about the "right" cables to really bring out that top notch SQ.
