There's no comparison. The Ayre is in a completely different league. I have 2 V5's in my system. For me, Ayre is the best solid state I've ever heard. Keep in mind, though, that's just my own opinion. It doesnt mean everyone has to like them.

Does anyone have any thoughts about the V-5xe's ability to drive the Dynaudios to realistic sound levels on symphonic music (e.g. Bruckner, Mahler). Room is under 15' x 12' x 8.5
I am presently using the Krell s-275 and thinking of switching to the Ayre. The Dyns are 4 ohms, 85 dB sensitivity.
