Avid Ingenium turntable with Project 9CC tonearm. Competitve with Rega, VPI, Project??

The above item is described as an "entry level turntable".  I am not familiar with the company, but have seen ads  for their line in the Music Direct catalogue.  Need comments and feedback from members who have auditioned  or own the table. 

Is this Avid model  competitive with  turntables offered by  Rega, VPI, Project in the $1700- $2000 price range.
