AV-10, AV41, AVM90, SDP 58. Thoughts?

Hey @kharjigli , sounds like you are on a mission to better SQ. All of the processors you listed will sound good. I think to choose at a processor below $10K you look at features. If you want 4 subs get the Marantz or the Anthem. The NEW Audyssey software is stunning and extremely flexible. If you get the Marantz I think you will like it. I have a Marantz processor with Audyssey pro and a two channel preamp with ARC. In my room the Audyssey pro works better (my room is well treated, in an untreated room IDK it would be the same). The Marantz offer Auro-3D and DTS-X Pro. That would seal the deal for my personal preference. I find wide channels to be more important then height channels and DTS-X Pro engages them. Atmos not so much depending on the mix. The SDP-58 offers MQA which I happen to like and use a Bluesound Node for. I know the Arcam and JBL previous processors were plagued with bugs, I would definitely want to use a local dealer who makes house calls if I bought those units. I know Anthem is swamped with e-mails (I don’t think they take calls) and it may take 2-4 weeks before they reply to my requests recently. Marantz picks up the phone and is also good with e-mails,. They have been rock solid for service issues. My thoughts would be:

1) Get wide channels and a product that supports them.

2) Make sure the product you purchase is stable, check the forums for customer posts.

3) The new version of Audyssey is superb with the calibrated mic.(paid upgrade)

4) Auro-3D is a plus if you like to upmix music.

My first choice would be the new Marantz unit, my second the Anthem (only because I use Paradigm speakers) and my third the JBL/Arcam because of stability issues with the previous iterations of those units. See my system in profile.

Due respect, I think you’re a bit lost in the weeds here with all the features, technology, etc.  What sound qualities are you looking for?  One example — if you’re looking for a warmer, richer sound but don’t require the nth degree of micro upper-octave detail Marantz may be a good choice, but if you’re looking for a more neutral and detailed sound Anthem would be a much better choice.  I’d start with what sound characteristics you’re looking for and go from there.  Just my $0.02 FWIW, and best of luck.  

I may consider the cheaper options if they were ready with hdmi 2.1 boards, but who knows when they'll come. This marantz av10 looks appealing, but so does every other one I listed. Looking to plug an rtx 4090 into it. I currently have an 7.2.4 with thoughts of expanding, so I do want the independent subs. Some of these support MQA, some don't. I'm wondering which has the best chops from an audio processing perspective. Lack of bugs would be great too. I have am x4700h that I'm running in preamp mode, but I'd prefer to get a processor. Balanced inputs may help with the "pc noise" I get, though that has been better since motherboards switched to SMT pcie slots. I recently switched to am5 which has an 8-layer pcb, and it's night and day better than any of the am4 boards I had, which required a hum-x, ground isolator, or removing the ground altogether, become reasonable.

Anyway. Haven't seen these compared. I've been looking at processors for a while now. Thought I'd ask the community. The AV10 has some interesting upgrades coming. I like dynamic eq but it's not a deal breaker. I read the will have dirac live in March, but won't have dirac bass control until 2024, though they do offer calibration for 4 independent subs via audyssey. https://100001.onl/
