I was sorely tempted to buy one of these when we were in Tokyo last fall. I only resisted because I already own 4-5 phono stages. They are on display at several dealers in Akihabara, but I did not get to audition one. I too was predisposed to the Vida because of its LCR circuitry (and many good reviews). If I were to buy one, I would want several of the optional features that do unfortunately drive up the price.
Herve- I did purchase the Vida and ran it for about 6 months before moving it on. It was paired with a top spec LP12/Aro/DV XVs-1. Overall a very nice phono stage but in the end was bit too "vanilla" for my taste. A Whest Titan Pro has replaced it- big step up but at a cost... ATB, Mark
Thanks Mark. Yes it would be too expensive and wouldn't make sense in my system. I have a Luxman PD-171, Leben CS-600 and Devore O/93 combo. Right now I am using the Ifi phono 2 and I am looking to upgrade a notch. Cheers, Hervé
Looking at your system, I think the Vida is just what you are after,,,smooth, rich sound. It makes perfect sense in your system. Do check the classifieds- these come up regularly at a significant discount. Good luck! ATB, Mark
