AURALIC ALTAIR G1 X AURALIC ALTAIR

I use my Altair like a Pre Amp, DAC and streamer. My system is modest and compact.
Beside them I use PS Audio P5, Jeff Rowland Power amp, Musical Fidelity Transport, Monitor Audio PL 300 speakers,  Kimble and Audioquest cables.

By the way I just sold an Auralic Altair and have tried the Altair G1.  I sold both of them.  Didn’t prefer the sound compared with other streamers I have owned. 
You didn’t mention if you used the DAC in the Altair or used an external DAC.

@sacresta...sorry I posted my response to the wrong thread.  I’m glad you live a mistake free life.

It's almost five years newer technology and if my experience with the Aries Femto and Aries G1 are any indication then the answer to your question would be yes for the streamer part for sure and more than likely the newer DAC chip too.
