Audio Desk Systeme Vinyl Cleaner Share

Was wondering if anyone in the East Bay wanted to partner in the purchase of an Audio Desk Systeme Vinyl Cleaner. I am in Berkeley. Well my records are in Berkeley. Maybe there is a way to share the cleaner and its cost? Maybe it is a crazy idea but if interested let's discuss.

There has been a thread or two started on the idea of a "timeshare" AD.

I dont think a workable solution was met?
Can't remember why I didn't follow up with those responding but since there is a used Audio Desk Systeme Vinyl Cleaner in my neighborhood (Marin) thought I'd re-introduce the share idea.

Anyone want to discuss? Anyone tried a share before?
I'm in San Jose, and was hoping to find a way of sharing and Audio Deske cleaner.
I did buy one only to have it fail just after the warrantee was over. The only way to get it fixed is that the Cable Company has to sent to Germany (which adds $350+) to the repair bill. Yes the unit cleans well, but not well enough to put up with the poor workmanship and build quality of the unit.

Suggest you save your money and get a VPI.
know you asked about sharing a multi thousand dollar RCM but I wanted to make you aware of a DIY thread that is not too complicated IMHO. You could try and build your own for a couple of hundred dollars. The last few posts are some of the most promising to me.

Thanks for the words of support Moonglum. Sorry it didn't work out for you. I'll give it a couple of more weeks before I go back to the Spin Clean!
Unfortunately I'm not in your neighbourhood (UK actually) OS but this is a great idea. :)
I proposed this to a couple of hifi loving colleagues last Summer and received about the same level of enthusiasm as you got here :(

Just a shame I don't live around the corner from you as I'd definitely be up for it.
All the best, buddy, hope you find some interested locals soon :)
