ATC SCM50 (passive) v. Devore O/93

I am seriously considering purchasing either ATC SCM50 (passive) or the Devore O/93.  Any thoughts on one over the other?  This is for a new system in a downstairs room that will open to the outside.  Room itself is about 15 x20.  This is first step in building system.  Will make amp purchase based on which speaker I buy.  I realize the sensitivity differences and will make sure to have adequate power for either.  Also, I will be buying used and price differnce is not as great as retail price difference.  So all things being equaly, which to grab.  Lot of rock music likely to be played on this system.  Thanks.

If you pick the ATC50, I advise you to go for the active version, especially since you said you're also getting an amp. The active ATC 50 is noticeably better than the already fine passive version and you'll probably save money.

Big +1 @dynamiclinearity  I should’ve mentioned that in my prior post because it’s big from both a performance and value perspective.

Those are very different speakers so it’s a bit surprising you’d be considering both.  What sound characteristics are you looking for?  For rock music the ATCs will be more dynamic that would generally be beneficial for that genre.
