Aretha Franklin RIP

Sad to hear this. Fortunately, we have a large catalog of her music to enjoy.

Listening to Amazing Grace as I type.  S'funny, I've always equated this amazing record to Frank Sinatra's 'Live At The Sands' in that it's one of the truly rare recordings capturing an artist at the peak of their powers, in front of what can only be described as their 'home' audience.  She preceded this with her incredible 'Live At The Fillmore West' but terrific as that record is, she was in church for Amazing Grace, she was home.  RIP.
