Are there any recording artists you just can’t listen too?

For me there is one that has always been top of the list.

Edith Piaf…..l just can’t think of anything worse.

Do not get me wrong and consider my choice is in any way racist….l love to listen to music with songs in any language… Italian, French, Spanish…..

Russian and German can however be extremely demanding, but Edith Piaf (if possible in any language) is a potential harrowing experience.

Do any others on here have a similar artist, or artists that can trigger the same physical reaction?

mylogic

Yes two great tracks, "Excitable Boy" is absolutely hilarious if you have a dark sense of humour.

Check out "Carmelita" and "Mohamed's Radio" if you haven't already.

@immatthewj

Here's another few bones for you to chew on. I also like Yes, Frank Zappa and Cream.

Clapton's later albums with the exceptions of Layla and Slowhand (hate Wonderful Tonight) are very, very mediocre,

My favourite guitarist is Mick Taylor, check out "Blues from Laurel Canyon".

This is all REAL music, not Boss malarky.

@immatthewj wizardry…….The Twilight Zone…….skullduggery…....or sabotage?

Was it you that took down your own post on June 6th? There was nothing controversial at all in it
Just inquiring because l immediately replied to that post about Rick (Dick) of “Sloopy Girl” fame.

Your lead into that subject has just disappeared..vanished..like “A Kind of Magic”

@lordmelton

Yes, l like Yes.    There…. I’ve gone and said it now!

Shameful with the earlier internal frictions and falling outs that were so bad, bad, bad. So bad l stopped following the group then. The fuss and bickering was unbearable and yes, it left a bad bitter taste. Two rival bands touring at one point, both claiming to be the real “Yes”

Now negatives over……

Not a great album collector but l do like their live concerts on Blu-ray/DVD

Live in Montreux 2003 Blu-ray (with Wakeman) for performance.

Symphonic - Live in Amsterdam 2002 DVD best for sound, and the orchestra blends in so seamlessly. One occasion that an orchestra and group concert works. You can see the orchestra players actually enjoying the meeting of musical styles.

In my opinion the early 2000s Yes reached the height of their writings and musicianship.

A YES from me.
