dCS is very linear. Any tube gears colors the sound and adds some distortion. You can try something simple first, like add tube buffer or preamp before replacing DAC. See if you like change in the sound. Not BAT, they are very linear, but something like Audio Note.
Are Lampizator DACs uniquely analog sounding?
Ironically, I read that Lampizator DACs don’t sound digital as a criticism.
Conversely, do they sound uniquely analog?
I enjoy my dCS Lina DAC but it frequently falls into the category of background music. I never feel that way about my TT.
Could Lampizator DACs be engaging like my TT?
