You would have to contact Crown tech support to get the definitive answer, but since the 1/4" connector appears to be connected to the XLR connector I would think that the 1/4" connector would have to be balanced. Otherwise I believe that you could short out pins 2 and 3 on the XLR if you used an unbalanced 1/4" connector.
Are crown xls 1/4 input and output jack balanced?
I’m wondering if the 1/4 jack meant for linking to another amplifier or an input if it’s truly balanced like the xlr input.
