AR Ref 160s or Luxman M10x

Thinking of upgrading my M900u to one of these two amps. Has anyone heard/compared the Audio Research and Luxman amps at this level (or the M900u)?

Mostly listen to acoustic, jazz, classical, female vocalists. Speakers are MA PL 300ii.

Delicate, nuanced and beautiful. I listen mainly in triode mode to acoustic, folk, singer songwriter. The only thing they don't have is the slam of the best solid state amps, but I don't miss it.
