AR ES-1 Transport Bolt Needed

Will you be shipping the TT?
If so, in case you do not know, extreme care needs to be taken when packing the TT for shipping. The platter and sub platter are heavy and must be removed from the TT and packed separately inside the shipping box. They must be secured well inside the box so they will not be able to move around and damage themselves as well as other parts of the TT. Especially the tone arm and cartridge/stylus. Support the tone arm so it will not be able to move around. Remove the arm counter weight and pack it separately in the box. Use a heavy double cardboard box with lots of packing, packing, packing, and more packing, material/s. And not just foam peanut packing. Just imagine the thing must withstand being thrown or dropped 4ft or 5ft by the shipping carrier when you are packing the TT for shipment.

I attempted to start a data base on various Table transport 
fasteners on another site but was not long lived due to
lack of input, unfortunately.

Thanks for all the input. I bought that TT new in '77? I have shipped and received many TT's over the years. Thanks for the heads up. I got the transport bolt in my long time stash of hardware.

Yup. Maybe my date of purchase is wrong. AR ES-1. I had an original AR but grew tired of at start up manual spinning to get it up to speed, no que and manual dust cover. By the way I found a really nice brass transit screw (ES-1) in my huge stock of miscellaneous hardware.
