Btw before the Trinnov I was using a TacT RCS 2.0 myself, there is no comparison between the two. The Trinnov is so much more capable and advanced.
Anything new with digital room correction?
Last time I tried DRC I was not too happy with it.
It was TacT Audio RCS 2.0, although it did the job and took care of LF problems, it robbed music of transients, dynamics and details were seriously affected.
Is there DRC that would allow you to specify range in which it works, for example deal with 400Hz down, and do not touch I any way anything above 400Hz?

I have been using a Trinnov ST2 Hifi for over 12 years. It is only used in the digital domain between sources and my DAC, it has lots of optimization options and it is extremely flexible. The firmware has been steadily improved and I just couldn't do without it in my room. I use it mainly for the bass response and time alignment of the units, it really is one the best DRCs available. |
@scottwheel No I am not using the Waveforming DSP and at this time I have no need for it, it sounds like a very useful tool for subwoofer calculations and placement. My Trinnov uses their Optimizer and is now discontinued but still supported. Trinnov are now targeting more the studio professionals and the high end home theater, their only product which is relevant to stereo is the amethyst preamp with DRC. |
