Thanks Kal.
It's funny, just before posting this question i was reading back posts about Revel and came across somebody else calling Kevin Peter. The next thing i am typing Peter myself.:)Monkey see, monkey do.
I've been Kevin's fan since he joined Snell and even met him once i think in 1990 or 1991 at the CES.I stll miss Kevin's Snell type B that i owned for many years and sold it only when the Salon came along. Those speakers were magical and in some areas better than Salons when matched with CJ equipment of the same vintage.
When people at Revel told me that Mr.Voecks is working on Ultima 2 series,i was very excited and even found a potential buyer for my Salons but was extremely dissapointed by the pictures of a new line when they came out. From afar they reminded me of a Polk home theater setup.Theefore i decided to keep my old pair.
I disagree about the review though.I think the reviewer did a disservice to the original Ultima owners waiting for an upgrade by not doing comparisons to the old Ultima. If you lived with a speaker for so long, you don't even have to go back to your notes to make a comparison.
Revel and B&W are so different that making a comparison defeated the point.
