Anyone replace ceramic caps with film?

Looking to replace some tiny generic ceramic caps with an Amtrans AMCH polypropylene film. The value is 220pF, so I haven't found many audio-grade choices in this range.

I'm _assuming_ almost any upgrade from a generic Mouser part to an audio-grade one is worth it, but anyone done this can tell me how it sounds?

Circuit designer select ceramic caps for a reason, in some place on the circuit ceramic caps is the best choice.

Never assume. :)

That reminded me a discussion about four and a half years ago:

levinson has odd choice for cap upgrades in one of their service bulletins

XR7 would be the first choice for this application... makes me wonder why they used PP in the first place.

@pragmasi is exactly correct!

The X7R ceramic cap’s ESR allows the cap itself to damp any ringing/resonance.
