Anyone Recognize This Logo?

I recently purchased a large stereo console from an estate sale. It is just over 7 feet long. On the inside of one of the front cabinet doors is a logo of the name "ODABASH". Inside the cabinet are: H.H. Scott 350B tuner, H.H. Scott 222c integrated amp, Garrard A-1 turntable, Sony tube 7 1/4" R to R, 2-Wharfdale 12" Drivers and 2-Lowther 6" drivers. All components are from the late 50's through the early 60's. This request is purely to identify the cabinet manufacturer. At the moment the cabinet is wrapped up and put away. There are no identifying marks other than the logo. The craftsmanship is impeccable. I will be accessing the cabinet within the next week for more photos,but for now, the logo will have to do. Can anyone help identifying it? I would appreciate any help with it.

I don't recognize the logo but I remember a feature article in either Stereophile or TAS about a New York dealer who used to stuff cabinets with goodies for resale
(This may have been the late Mike Kay of Lyric Hi-Fi).

This was in the 50's and 60's when custom installs were fashionable.

Don't know if this is the Obadash that made your console.

It seems likely to me that there must be another individual involved. Someone bought the cabinet from Obadash and then bought the components and installed them. Is there any clue on the cabinet who this systems integrator may be?

The early kit hobbyists finally had fine furniture to put their components in starting in the late 50's. The choices expanded with the 60's boom. This was probably from the west coast though. I will start searching through my old mag archives. Thanks Dweller.

I think you're on the right track with the furniture manufacturer in the Bay area. It has been my experience that the consoles with higher end equipment are almost always sold without components in them. This one is interesting because it has two slide out shelves which were custom made for the Garrard and the Sony. The paint finish inside was applied after the shelves were custom built. So I would say the cabinet was custom made to supplied specs and a professional installer installed everything. This was not an inexpensive project. Thanks Jameswel. I'll keep you posted on any new discoveries.

Ed is my father, passed away at 95 in 2012. He had a shop, Odabashian & Sons, in S.F. in the 50's. Yes, those cabinets were custom made, that pic of his logo was an altered logo he had made in the 50's that read Odabashian & Sons Custom Furniture Mfg.
