Anyone modded Legacy Focus 20/20s, wire/caps?

I just got a pair of Focus 20/20s and the bases are broken off and missing. I was going to use some Mapleshade 2" thick bases and some spikes. Because they are 10 years old I'm thinking a refresh internally with at least better wiring and maybe a bypass cap or 2 or cap replacements. Has anyone upgraded their Focus internals? I'm going to audition the new Rogue Sphinx hybrid integrated amp to see how the Hypex modules handle the low impedance dips in the low bass.
