Apart from the oak surround isn't the plinth the same as on the later Planar 2's? Anyway I would do a search of the Vinyl Asylum archives using the search engine,as there is plenty of info on the Rega motor upgrade.Here is a link http://www.audioasylum.com/audio/vinyl/bbs.html I believe the mounting of the new motor by an adhesive directly to the plinth is one issue.
