Anyone heard the new Mofi V10 Master Edition at Axpona?

This was easily one of the best in show...

Have had the 10s for 2 years now, sold my Dynaudio Heritage Specials to finance them, using a Diablo 300 amp and Lumin X1 as source, very rich dynamic precise sound, emotional connection with the music in spades. Just my 2 cents in my system so doesn’t mean a whole hellulva lot with respect to the V10s but if they come in under 10K, if I had the room I’d be tempted.

Heard them briefly and the Pass Labs amplifiers made them sound instantly better than the rest of the MoFi series.  Running those class D amps with lthe sourcepoints the past two years at AXPONA was not doing the speakers justice.  They had a dry, brash overtone.

With the Pass Labs they came alive and had a true audiophile sound.

Get a nice robust Class A or AB amp and any of them will sound awesome and are recommended in their range.

@avanti1960 I have the 888 with Class D amps and you're telling a whole bunch of crockpot.

The Sourcepiint 888 has never sounded brash in any scenario regardless of the amp used. Hell, it is amp agnostic and it's not hear say, actual experience with them in my space as my multimedia mains

@kofibaffour

glad you are enjoying your mofi speakers.

first off no speaker is amplifier agnostic.

secondly the mofi speakers sounded good if not very good with the class D HiFi Rose amplifiers used at AXPONA in 2023 and 2024.   however as noted in my show reports they sounded a touch dry and brash.  once you heard that sound signature in the upper midrange it was impossible to un hear.

me thinks the room organizers heard it too which is why the V10 masters were driven by Pass Labs mono block amplifiers.
