Anyone has experience with the Veritas Nexum C digital S/PDIF cable.

Well, it seems I've been reinfected with the "better sound bug" for my system. Having recently bought Veritas Aperta SE speaker cables, and being simply amazed at the improvement, I have moved on to the next thing.

I know a number of members have been using Veritas cables, so I'm hoping someone with S/PDIF digital cable experience has tried this cable and could share their thoughts,

I know there's a 30 day return on Veritas cables, but unlike other cables I have virtually no experience with digital cables so I'm hoping someone here can offer some experienced feedback about them.

Thanks for reading this!

My description of the Nexum was a little off, first I have the Nexum A, not Nexum B. Second, I reported the sound as clear but kind of dry.  With 78 hours on them now, i would not describe them as dry.  They have smoothed out some more since my last report and sound just as the website describe them, which is smooth, liquid and analog.  I probably should have waited to post, but I am happy to report that things sound better than my initial report.

@kclone

Thank you for posting this, I am very close to moving forward with another Veritas purchase. If you note anything of interest in regard to the Nexum cable, please post.

Although your using the Nexum B and I'm looking at the C version, I believe the cable itself is the same only different connectors.

As of this post I am at 53 hours on a the Nexum B.  I played Crystal Days by Echo and the Bunnymen, not a great recording.  First I tried it the Kimber Axos USB.  Sounds great, smooth, a little on the warmer side, this is in combination with a Veritas Ethernet, PC, and balanced ICs in the system.  After player Crystal Days on the Kimber, I put the Nexum back in the system.  It is like getting your glasses cleaned.  Everything sounds clearer, maybe a little dryer, but by no means clinical.  The stage got taller and deeper, expanded.  It wasn't bad before, but the Nexum took it up a notch.  I next played The Beatles Dear Prudence, a track I have heard a lot since the past 4 decades.  The Nexum in combination with the other Veritas cables in my system really allows me to hear all a lot of detail, but not in distarcting way.  Sometimes people say they would rather have something that is musical over something that is detailed, but here that is not an issue, I feel like it is the best of both.  I have no idea how many hours the Nexum need to be fully broken in, so not sure how much things would change from here.

 Yes,I have the Nexum B.   As of now I have 45 hours on mine.  I haven't listened since around the 32 hour mark.  I will listen after work and give you an update to what I am hearing with this digital cable.  I thought is sounded great out of box, not quite as warm as the Kimber Axos or Audio Envy USB I was using, but there was better detail and instrument separation compared to the other two.  Micro details that are normally audible but  more recessed in the mix are more forward, which I really really liked.  Stay tuned I will be seeing with more hours if the response smoothed out some.  I would like to think it would because prior to installing the Nexum cable, I had put 110 hours on the Varitas Argentum balance IC, Praesto PC, and Mirus ethernet, and the response was smooth.
