Anyone compared Purist Dominus Rev B Ferox and Purist Neptune Luminist power cords ?

I have the Dominus on my VAC integrated but never tried the Neptune power cord, though I do have Neptune RCAs that I like a lot.

John, thank you for the advice. I no longer deal with Albert and I have no intention to buy new, anyway.

As for the Dominus Rev B, for my taste high frequencies are good enough, I like them to be relaxed but extended. But I know what you are talking about - this can certainly be improved, no doubt. Bass is fine in my system, and midrange - you said it. I would prefer to fine tune the sound of the VAC with preamp and driver tubes first and then power cords, considering that I already have an excellent one. I was just curious of what people thought.

I had many Dominus B and C power cords 15+ years ago.  Great great midrange lushness, musicality, a fairly good bass foundation, but the upper frequencies, especially with the B, were severely lacking extension and detail.  Moving on to Stealth, Dream State and Silent Source power cords brought on so much detail that had been masked by those older Dominus cables.

I have to believe that refinements in the Purist line in the last decade have rendered significant improvements here.  I would suggest you contact Albert Porter, a long time user and dealer of Purist cables to have him send you some cables to try in your system and compare with your Dominus cable.

garebear, you are right, I hear things too, and read them. Double negatives is just one example.

Inna …..good one and at least you know the difference ! Many do not as I heard a national news broadcaster used double negatives in a sentence and appeared not to even know or care . Unbelievable stuff these days …..let’s go listen to some music Inna …….enjoy

……that’s ; “ nobody knows anything “‘ .  It is poor grammar to use double negatives in a sentence. Just thought I would let you know .
